Mezmur Tewahdo is a free, community-contributed library of Orthodox Tewahdo mezmur lyrics. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used.

What we collect

• Contact form submissions — your name, email, and message, so we can respond. Sent to the site maintainers; never sold or shared with third parties.
• Basic technical data — your IP address is briefly used to rate-limit form submissions and admin logins, and to protect admin/contributor accounts from unauthorized access. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
• Preference cookies — your chosen language and light/dark theme, stored locally so the site remembers your preference on your next visit. Not used for tracking.
• Contributor accounts — admins and contributors who add mezmur lyrics have an email, a securely hashed password, and two-factor authentication set up. This is used solely to operate the admin/contributor portal.

Mezmur content

Mezmur lyrics, authors, and contributor names submitted through the contributor portal are published publicly on the site, as intended — that's the point of the library.
